BRAIN FOG
Around 66% of women over the age of 40 experience brain fog due to changing hormone levels affecting the female brain. Initially, the hormone level that decreases is progesterone. This can result in irritability, mood swings, and brain fog. Additionally, the decrease in progesterone can cause sleep disruption. This disruption in sleep can hinder the brain's optimal functioning. Reductions in oestrogen levels lead to menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes, mood changes, irritability, mental confusion, and decreased energy. All of these symptoms can further contribute to hormone-related brain fog.
